Bob's Cave

Bob’s Cave at Mumbles Head this cave is situated on the outer island of the two islands which make up Mumbles Head. They are tidal islands which make it particularly important to plan any visit with due care to ensure you are not cut off by the incoming tide. Seek advice from the local coastguard before visiting.

The lighthouse is high above the huge cave and to the right is a huge stone fort built in 1861 to deter a possible French invasion! As the cave gets flooded twice a day no important relics have ever been recovered.
